I just had one. The first one my wife ever bought me willingly, without asking her. That's Christmas.

I have only done three batches at this point, but what I am learning is that as long as you keep everything clean, it is VERY hard to fuck up beermaking. Believe me, I have tried.

Living in Arizona, climate control is a hell of a challenge. Trust me. =(

Me too! I'm currently enjoying and would be pleased to talk about my most recent brew, a delightful ESB that I noticed was on its way to becoming over-carbed (uhh...after one bottle exploded) but then was totally saved when I threw all of it in the fridge. Success! I have also recently enjoyed my winter warmer batch, which I'm trying to get through before we run out of winter-like weather (hopefully, any day now). Currently in the fermenter is a very light/simple Kolsch that is going to be flavored with blueberry extract at bottling. I'm beginning the process of trying to replicate Sweetwater Blue, which isn't available anywhere near Pennsylvania, but is my favorite blueberry beer.

I still haven't had a Dark Lord, Founders KBS or a Westvleteren 12.

Definitely getting a KBS this year, never heard of the other 2!

I'm busy at work, but want to share the knowledge about these two... as they are a bit crazy.

Everyone likes all kinds of different things. KBS is superb. Only styles I don't really like are Triples, too sweet, and Belgian Sour Browns, cause who the fudge likes beer that tastes like sweat and wool!
